Store Location and Details

In the State of California a business license is around $100 in price, but it is required for every business to have one. My legal business Just Like A.H. is a sole proprietership. I started this business making dresses and selling them from my house and now I own my own top knotch boutique. I am very blessed to own this brand on my own so that I can work at my own pace. My business is only a retail store. There is a website but you cannot purchase an item unless you come into the store. My advertisement on the radio on KDAY-FM 93.5 for around $1,083.00 for a 30 second time slot (http://www.gaebler.com/KDAY-FM-CA-Radio-Advertising-Costs++14201). My store located on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles California is a 2200 square foot facility. My leasing cost monthly is $2695 (http://www.rent.com/search/results/?state_nb=19&freeform_submarket_nm=Los%20Angeles&minimumrent_at=800&maximumrent_at=99999999&bedroom_nb=3&bathroom_nb=&dogscats=&landmark_id=&mode=search&searchtype=city&pte=PERSON.REGISTRATION).

Promotional Campaign

One promotional campaign we will be participating in is Selena Gomez coming to our store to sing her new song "it comes naturally." She will also be signing autopgraphs while sporting one of our brand new dresses. She is a loyal customer to us and volunteered to do this. We will also be having an Audrey Hepburn look a like, to be photographed with. To see Selena Gomez perform you must buy a garment from a certain rack in the store. This will take place during the summer of 2010. I will be announcing it on KDAY-FM.

Logo

The logo of our brand is very classical and simple just like our little black dresses. Our logo is found on every dress' tag that leaves our store we take great pride in our logo. It is a very simple cursve font with black writing.

Advertising

Just Like A.H.; little black dresses
"Because Elegance is Attitude"
I used this advertisement because our slogan is "Because Elegance is Attitude," and I think this is an excellent picture of Audrey Hepburn showing that even though she is so elegant she still has attitude. This is how I make my little black dresses, they are all simply and classical but they also have a bit of a spunk to them.

Social Responsibilities cont.

Just Like A.H has also just started a new "GO GREEN" campaign. We have developed two dresses that are made from 100% recycled wool. When purchasing one of these dresses 50% of the the proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity which is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing organization building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need (http://www.habitat.org/). We strongly believe that everyone should have shelter and Habitat for Humanity provides that home that is in need.

Social Responsibilities

Just Like A.H participates in many philanthropic events around the Los Angeles area. We believe in community service and making this area a better place to live. We participate in Big Brothers Big Sister of Greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire each year. We make t-shirts with our logo on them and donate them to the children who participate. We will be taking part in the Accessories for Success on April 27, 2010 at the Crystal Ball room ant the Beverly Hills Hotel and also helping at the Bowl for Kids' Sake 2010 on June 12, 2010 at Lucky Strike at LA Live. http://www.bbbslaie.org/
We believe that kids are our future and that each and everyone of them should feel as if they are wanted and loved and I believe that the Big Brother Big Sister program provides this.

Background of Just Like A.H

Have you ever wanted to look like the fabulous Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's? Her stunning little black dresses will never be forgotten. As you all may know, a little black dress is a classic, or a fashion trend that will go on forever. They are perfect for daytime, evening, or formal wear. My line of little black dresses is sure to make you feel as classy an elegant as Audrey Hepburn. My dresses are range from strapless to three quarter length. They also range in length from mini dresses to floor length gowns. One thing you will find with this brand is that every garment is black. Black has always been the most elegant and flattering color to me so i decided to work my brand around it.
The little black dress made its debut in May 1926, with a pen and ink drawing in Vogue magazine by designer Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel (1883–1971). The magazine editors called the dress "Chanel's 'Ford,'" comparing the dress to the simply designed, economically priced black Ford Model T automobile. I think we would all like the think Chanel for coming up with such a classic dress
